PERSONALITY: Criminal has a very one-track mind. He's the world's worst multi-tasker, but when he's doing one thing he is great at it. Around the barn he tends to be a little spacey, but it doesn't take much to rouse him from his daydreams. He can be found staring out of his stall with flip flopped ears, and you can wave your hand in his face and he'll never respond, unless you have mints. He is known to be the trouble maker in the team with Richie. The two are always found out and about causing trouble. He may seem like he wouldn't be the trouble maker, but he sure is. He unlocks gates, opens stall doors, and somehow finds his way into the grain room. Everything has to be "criminal proofed" in order for him to be in that area. No one knows how he sneaks around and causes trouble, but he does. On the track, he causes trouble by beating out the odds and beating all the other horses. In the gate he is very calm, unless a horse next to him is going crazy, then he tends to freak out. When racing, though, he's all focused.
RACING STYLE: He likes to be up front, but will sit off a fast pace without a fight. He prefers to be the leader of a race, with the fresh air in his face rather than dirt. But he deals well with the dirt, and knows how to work with it and work around it. He'll obey every command without a fight and take everything seriously. When another horse comes up he'll easily take them on and show them what he really meant when he said he was going to set a fast pace, leaving them in his dust. He has an amazing amount of speed and stamina to last him for miles, and to keep his pace strong and fast.
HISTORY: When Riverwood Acres was young, and still racing at Major Horse Shows, Hawkstone Stables decided to end their racing business, and they gave away their horses to other stables. We received Criminal, NS Tourniquets Secret, Gallant Queen, and Black Wire from Hawkstone and happily took them in. We took Criminal in when he was very young, almost a year old. Since then, he has been at Riverwood Acres, causing as much trouble as possible. His original owners really knew his parents well, for they named him right on target.
